The Cool FrontRunner is a PC/104-Plus Single Board Computer that consumes very little power. Its processor is a Pentium-compatible AMD Geode GX 500 @ 1.0W that needs only one watt to operate at a clock speed of 366 MHz. Together with a CS5535 I/O companion and a super I/O chip, it forms a complete PC compatible system. The Cool FrontRunner is especially well suited for embedded applications in rough environments requiring a wide range of ambience temperatures. The complete power consumption is a mere five watts. Also available for the Cool FrontRunner are the AMD Geode GX 466 @ 0.9W and the AMD Geode GX 533 @ 1.1W processors. These can be ordered on customer's request for larger order volumes, if either more processing capabilities or lower power consumption is essential.
